Hello hikers!
Many of you took some of your time to answer our questionnaire, thank you!
As promised, here are some of the lessons we were able to learn.
Concerning your use, many of you practice hiking intensively or occasionally (real enthusiasts!) rather on dirt/muddy/grassy and rocky trails. Even if most of you use your pair of shoes only for hiking (65%), some also wear them every day (16%) or to practice other sports including cycling (20%).
Now, let’s get to the heart of the matter, the durability of hiking shoes . But what are the defects that appear the most on a hiking shoe and can cause its end of life?
By far, sole wear is the most noticeable defect on a pair of shoes and often causes its end of life. Who hasn't heard: "Ah, my sole is sanded, I'm going to have to change shoes" :)
Another headliner is waterproofing , although it does not automatically cause the end of the product's life, it is common for water to find its way inside your shoe after a few kilometers in the rain.
Other defects appear particularly like the tear or the hole of the exterior/interior of the upper , the sole-upper separation (you don't like that one :)) and the separation of the stone guard .
That's it for the news, hoping that you enjoyed answering this questionnaire.
See you soon co-creators!!
