You are used to mountain treks and you can walk for 5 / 6h per day in all temperatures, with elevation (up to 1000 m of elevation gain per day), wearing a 50L / 70L backpack loaded over 10kg. Good physical condition is necessary.
We will select 6 men and 6 women to form the group to have a nice and friendly time in the mountains!
The group will be supervised by a mid-mountain guide and 4 members of the FORCLAZ team.
On site, you will be asked to give your opinion on the tested products. The main objective of this use test is to test a down jacket designed for temperatures down to -10 ° C.

The Trek: 3 days of trekking in the heart of the Chamonix valley. We will be based in Les Houches.
Our hiking routes will be chosen according to weather conditions and the possible presence of snow in the mountains. Approximately 5/6 hours of walking per day, around 1000m of vertical drop per day.
We will spend 1 night in a bivouac (1 tent / 2 people) and 1 night in a lodge (dormitories or shared rooms).
In portage everyone will have their trekking backpack (from 50 to 60l). You will carry your personal belongings either for a day or for autonomy over 2 days: food, tent, duvet & mattress, as well as some common equipment.
You will have to plan your following material and textile:
- High-rise hiking boots
- Hiking socks
- Hiking pants
- 1 waterproof surpant (depending on weather conditions)
- Short-sleeved & long-sleeved T-shirt (preferably in merino wool)
- Polar jacket
- Light & compact down jacket (will be provided by FORCLAZ)
- Waterproof jacket
- Buff-type beanie or neck warmer.
- Thin pair of gloves.
- A "change" first dry layer (T-shirt, underwear, leggings) for the evening and the night at the bivouac
- Down -5 ° C minimum in comfort temperature
- Bivouac sleeping pad (Forclaz will lend a few non-insulating mattresses if necessary)
- Trekking tent (Forclaz will lend 2 person tents if necessary)
- Sunglasses
- Bottle or pipette (water bag), 2 liters minimum
- Everything you need to eat at picnic & bivouac: plate, mug, pocket knife, spoon / fork type Spork
- Toiletry bag & small personal pharmacy (including tick remover, anti-blister plaster, disinfectant, sunscreen) ... minimalist!
- Small bottle of hydro-alcoholic gel
- Your most beautiful covid mask
- Toilet paper.
- Headlamp.
- Trekking backpack, volume 50 / 60l.
- Trekking poles
- Flip-flops / crocs / sandals for the lodging
- Sheet-bag for the shelter
The conditions :
All costs relating to accommodation, transport, meals (excluding extra) will be covered during the test period, namely from departure from Passy (74170) on Monday 8 November and until return to Passy Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
The costs to get to Passy and to leave it are your responsibility.
