- Occasional itinerant: Roaming on a sailing boat in a supervised manner, once a year, with friends or family
- Regular traveler: Travels by sailboat at least 3-4 times a year
- Long-term itinerant: Roaming by sailboat for several successive weeks (2 minimum)
