In order to develop our new Quechua products, we would need you to come and test them in use.
Required profile :
You are used to hiking in the mountains and you can walk for 7/8 hours per day in all temperatures, with elevation gain (up to 1500 - 2000 m elevation gain per day), carrying a 20L backpack /40L loaded with more than 5kg. A very good physical condition is necessary.
We will select 12 men and 12 women to form the group to spend 3 full days, nice and friendly in the mountains!
The group will be supervised by 2 mid-mountain guides and several members of the QUECHUA team.
On site, you will be asked to give your opinion on the products tested. The main objective of this usage test is to test 2 pairs of mid-range and high-end shoes currently in development.

Hikes: 3 days of hiking in the heart of the Chamonix valley. We will be based in a cottage around St-Gervais / Les Houches.
Our hiking routes will be chosen according to the weather conditions and the possible presence of snow in the mountains. Approximately 6/8 hours of walking per day, around 1,500 - 2,000 m of elevation gain per day for the longest day.
We will spend the nights in a lodge (dormitories or shared rooms).
When carrying, everyone will have their own hiking backpack. You will carry your personal belongings for a day, as well as some of the common equipment (food, etc.).
You will need to provide your following materials and textiles:
- Technical hiking socks, medium or high shaft.
- Hiking pants for 3 days.
- 1 waterproof overpants (depending on weather conditions)
- Short-sleeved & long-sleeved t-shirt for the 3 days.
- Polar jacket
- Light & compact down jacket
- Waterproof jacket
- Buff type hat or neck warmer.
- Fine pair of gloves
- A dry first layer āchangeā (t-shirt, underwear, leggings) for the evening and night
- Sunglasses
- Bottle or pipette (water bag), 2 liters minimum
- Everything you need to eat at a picnic: plate, mug, pocket knife, spoon/fork
- Toiletry kit & small personal medicine cabinet (including tick remover, anti-blister bandage, disinfectant, sunscreen)... minimalist!
- Hiking backpack
- Hiking poles if necessary
- Flip-flops / crocs / sandals for the lodge
- Sheet bag for the gƮte
The conditions :Ā
All costs relating to accommodation, transport, meals (excluding extras) will be covered during the test period, namely from departure from Passy (74190) on Wednesday May 15 and until return to Passy on Friday May 17, 2024.
The costs of getting to and from Passy remain your responsibility.
Your insurance/assistance:
A mountain hike involves risks that must be mitigated by being well insured. Check that you are covered for search/rescue costs, repatriation and medical costs. If necessary, you can take out this type of insurance: Impact Multisports, Europ Assistance, Avi, etcā¦

This test is not paid.
