The durability mission is back!!
This annual must-attend event for our Simond trekking product development returns this year, still during the same period (May-June), in the same format but on different routes than in previous years.
Our AMM (mountain guides) have crafted an incredible program to combine product testing with an unforgettable trekking experience.
We have a last-minute dropout from a tester, so I am looking for her replacement.
Here are the details:
2 groups of testers (5 men and 5 women) will be formed to go trekking for 15 days during two different periods.
You will be equipped with prototypes in development from head to toe.
Your role: Enjoy the trek & test the products
Profile sought
You are used to mountain treks and can walk for 5/6 hours a day in all weather conditions, with elevation gain (up to 1000 m of positive elevation per day), carrying a backpack of 50L/70L loaded with over 12kg. An excellent physical condition is absolutely necessary. You wear size 43 for men, and size 39 for women!
1st session: Assault on the Southern Alps: From the Mediterranean to the wonders of Mercantour.
Dates: from Monday, May 12, 2025, to Wednesday, May 28, 2025
Starting and ending point: Mountain Store, 170 Avenue Léman Mont Blanc, 74190 PASSY
Means of transport: Bus, train, and ABOVE ALL, your two legs!
Accommodations: mainly in tents (bivouac and camping)
Supervision: You will be supervised by 2 mountain guides.
Testing locations: Two and a half weeks of trekking in the heart of the Mercantour and Pre-Alps massifs (Vallée des Merveilles, Roya, Vésubie...etc). Amazing hikes and bivouacs are on the agenda.
Terms:
All expenses related to accommodation, transport, and meals (excluding extras) will be covered during the testing period.
Only the costs to get to Passy and to return will remain your responsibility.
You will be required to test our entire trekking kit (backpack, clothing, accessories, shoes, bivouac equipment). We will provide most of the necessary equipment for this adventure.
Compensation
This test is not paid.
