Impact reduction mission: what if we relocated?

First, the presentations

We are a small team of designers working for the Forclaz brand.

Forclaz is Decathlon's trekking and travel brand which has an ambitious objective: to eco-design as many products as possible by 2023.

However, 2020 made us want to go even faster so we were commissioned by our colleagues to set up a beautiful sustainable design project by freeing ourselves from the usual framework and processes of Decathlon.

Drop in what?

Our goal is to create complete equipment for traveling on foot, backpacking, minimizing the impact of each stage of development (design, supply, production, transport, marketing, etc.).

The idea is also to serve as a laboratory to test solutions which can then be applied to all Decathlon products.

We have carte blanche to reinvent our way of doing things and we are not going to deprive ourselves of it!

Motivated team looking for responsible and committed traveler

We have started to outline the outlines of our project but there are still many gray areas.

And as we are convinced to be more creative and relevant with 1000 than with 9, Anne suggested using the co-creation platform to benefit from the experience of thousands of travelers (including you) at each stage of development project.

This project is for me!! So, how do we go about it?

This great adventure starts now with a questionnaire (classic but effective) and ends in September (with champagne, Louis promised).

1 to 2 times per month we will contact you through this co-creation platform/by e-mail to inform you of developments in the project and to continue moving forward together.

12 months to reinvent 44 years of product design at Decathlon, that’s a great challenge, isn’t it?

Welcome to the team and see you soon!
