Come and test Simond products in the field #2025 edition

Hello to you, great trekker,

At Decathlon, we design all the products needed for trekking (shoes, backpacks, clothing, poles, bivouac equipment)

Having our products tested by as many people as possible in the field before they are released is essential for us. It is thanks to your feedback that we can claim to make good products.

This project brings together the field tests that we can do on products currently under development.

Forclaz durability test // Men&Women // Verdon&Mercantour

For this first test, we want to take you to the Mercantour national park and the Verdon regional natural park!

Required profile

You are used to mountain treks and you can walk for 5/6 hours per day in all temperatures, with elevation gain (up to 1000 m elevation gain per day), carrying a 50L/70L backpack loaded with more than 10kg. Excellent physical condition is absolutely necessary. You wear size 43 for men, and 39 for women!

We will select 5 men and 5 women to form the group!

The program :

Dates : from Monday May 3, 2021 to Tuesday 05/18/2021

Departure and arrival point : Mountain Store, 170 Avenue Léman Mont Blanc, 74190 PASSY

Means of transport : Bus, train and especially your two legs!

Accommodation : mainly in tents and shelters

Supervision : You will be supervised by a mid-mountain guide.

Test locations : Mercantour National Park and Verdon Regional Natural Park. The "red thread" would be to follow the Verdon from its sources in Mercantour to its confluence in the Durance. Here are some photos to make your mouth water:

Terms:

All costs relating to accommodation, transport, meals (excluding extras) will be covered during the test period, namely from departure from Passy (74170) on Monday May 3, 2021 and until return to Passy on Tuesday May 18, 2021.

The costs of getting to and from Passy remain your responsibility.

You will be required to test our entire trekking range (backpack, clothing, accessories, shoes, bivouac equipment). We will provide you with most of the equipment necessary for this adventure.

Remuneration

This test is not paid.
