Hello hikers!
We are organizing a paid test of ultralight carbon poles on July 16th and 17th in Plaine-Joux.
Why this test?
The Simond development team wants to put its new poles to the test in the field.
These poles are intended for those who are used to using poles and have experienced hiking and trekking.
Your feedback will help us make the final product more efficient and better suited to your needs!
Profile sought:
We are looking for 18 motivated hikers (9 per session), ready to hike for several hours in the mountains with a 10kg bag.
Date and slots proposed:
1st slot: Wednesday 07/16/2025, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
2nd slot : Thursday 07/17/2025, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Each tester can only participate in one testing session.
The test / Location:
Meet at the Plaine Joux car park (Passy) for a hike around Lac Vert in particular, with the aim of completing 3 walking loops of 1 hour each, for a total of around 15 km and 1000 D+.
You'll try out three pairs of poles, which, of course, will be provided. Remember to bring your usual equipment (appropriate shoes, backpack, weather-appropriate clothing, water, etc.).
/!\ Important: each tester must come with:
- his backpack loaded with 10kg (regardless of the ballast used)
- his picnic (one hour break is planned for eating)
You will be accompanied by a qualified mountain professional, as well as our design team to discuss and collect your feedback throughout the day.
Remuneration conditions:
This test is paid, we go through a temporary employment agency (Arve Intérim) for the payment.
The fee is €84.56 gross for the test day. We offer reimbursement for transportation costs to the meeting place, capped at €12.10.
