What is nature hiking at Quechua?

The aim of Decathlon and Quechua is to make sport accessible and sustainable for as many people as possible.

We are passionate about nature hiking, it shapes our lives and our daily routine.

This sport involves walking on natural flat or hilly trails for a day (such as in forests, countryside, or along the coast). It includes your weekly walks as well as day-long discovery hikes.

It brings physical and mental well-being, is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, social background, place of residence, etc...

But to offer you suitable products, it is essential to test the products throughout their development. These tests ensure that the products meet your expectations.


The objective: Functional, usage, and long-term tests for nature hiking textiles and footwear

Co-creation is now at the heart of our concerns; we believe in collective intelligence, where everyone can contribute by sharing their opinion.

You will find numerous test proposals throughout the year.

Hello everyone,


We are organizing a field test in the surroundings of Passy to test the new Quechua shoes!


Why this test? Based on your feedback and suggestions, we have designed new shoes to better suit your needs. Therefore, we invite you to participate in a beautiful nature hike to test the new prototype versions of our shoes and meet some of our design team.

Your feedback will help us make the final product as comfortable and well-suited to your needs as possible!

Desired profiles:

  • Gender: Women and men
  • Size: Sizes 39 and 43 only /!\


Practical information:

  • Where: Sallanches
  • When: April 2 or April 3, 2025

Program:

Come enjoy a day hike accompanied by a mountain guide to test the products on accessible paths!

With the prototype shoes on, we will make a loop of about 12 km and 300 to 500 m of elevation gain to test the new improvements in the field.

We will enjoy the beautiful scenery while indulging in a picnic or an aperitif during the hike (provided by Decathlon).

During the hike, there will be some workshops and questionnaires to gather your feelings and evaluate the functionalities of the shoes (support, comfort, etc.) :)


Other information:

  • Voluntary participation
  • The meeting point will be at the parking lot of Saint Martin in Sallanches (former imperial road), you need to be able to get there on your own
  • Come with your water bottle and dressed in sportswear suitable for the weather.
  • More detailed information regarding the testing conditions will be communicated later after the validation of applications
