Imagine winter on its way, bringing with it the magic of snowy mountains and the pleasures of winter sports: alpine skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and endless snow games!

Do you remember your first sled ride, the thrill of sliding on fresh snow? Imagine your children experiencing that same feeling of freedom and wonder! We believe that winter sports offer unique opportunities to discover, learn, and create unforgettable moments as a family. Who doesn't dream of sharing a sunny day on the slopes, surrounded by magical landscapes?


At Decathlon, our philosophy is to make the discovery of skiing sensations accessible to everyone, regardless of level and style, from a young age. We are also committed to supporting our users in the evolution of their practices.

Whether you are parents of children aged 1 to 14, we invite you to join this unique adventure: no matter your level or your child's, every experience matters and enriches our community!


Through questionnaires or product tests in the field, we offer you and your children the opportunity to be an integral part of our team's life and product development. Join us to experience and share the magic of winter sports!

VAL D'ISERE - Textile Ski Test for Children April Holidays 2025

Are you spending the Easter week in Val d'Isère and/or living in the area? Are you passionate about sliding sports and curious about us developing our products? Then come participate in one of the 3 half-day winter sports product testing sessions by Decathlon:

When? 📅

On Tuesday, April 22, Wednesday, April 23, and Thursday, April 24, 2025, come join us for a half-day of skiing (on one of these days depending on your availability)

What? 🤔

This test aims to try out Decathlon's future winter sports products:

  • Ski Jacket + Ski Pants
  • Ski Gloves
  • Ski Boots

The program is simple, a morning of skiing with an instructor for the participants, followed by a debrief with the parents about the products over a meal (or a snack if unable to stay with the product development team at lunchtime)

Who? 🏂🎿

  • Children skiers, sizes between 6 years and 14 years
  • Groups will be formed by level: 1 group of 2nd star level, 1 group of gold star level

Where? 🗻

Heading to the VAL D'ISERE Station

What’s included:

This test is unpaid. Participants must get to Val d'Isère station by their own means (travel expenses not covered) and will also need to pick up their child afterward.

We provide:

  • Ski pass for the day
  • Supervision by qualified instructors
  • Lunch for testers and parents

Participation conditions: 📑

  • Be available on April 22, 23, or 24 at least in the morning (9 AM - 12 PM), with a meal planned with the product development team afterward
  • Be a skier
  • Be motivated to participate in this test and share your impressions with our teams
  • Be able to bring your child and pick them up at the test location by your own means
  • Come with your own equipment (skis, poles, boots, gloves, helmet, goggles/mask) and with your clothing (socks, underwear, jacket, pants, fleece). Our products to be tested will be indicated in advance, and the rest will not be provided.
