Good morning, In order to develop our new Forclaz products, we would need you to come and test them in use. Required profile : You are used to mountain treks and you can walk for 5/6 hours per day in all temperatures, with elevation gain (up to 1000 m elevation gain per day), carrying a 50L/70L backpack loaded with more than 10kg. Good physical condition is necessary. We will select 5 men and 5 women to form the group to spend 3 full days, nice and friendly in the mountains! The group will be supervised by a mid-mountain guide and several members of the FORCLAZ team. On site, you will be asked to give your opinion on the products tested. The main objective of this usage test is to test a down jacket designed for temperatures down to -20°C, but you will also be required to test other types of products. Useful information : Dates : November 22 to November 24, 2023 Departure and arrival point : Mountain Store, 170 Avenue Léman Mont Blanc, 74190 PASSY The Trek: 3 days of trekking in the heart of the Chamonix valley. We will be based in Les Houches. Our hiking routes will be chosen according to the weather conditions and the possible presence of snow in the mountains. Approximately 5/6 hours of walking per day, around 1,000m of elevation gain per day. We will spend the nights in a lodge (dormitories or shared rooms). When carrying, everyone will have their own trekking backpack (50 to 60l). You will carry your personal belongings either for one day, or to reproduce the conditions of carrying them independently over 2 days: food, tent, sleeping bag & mattress, as well as some of the common equipment. You will need to plan your following materials and textiles: - High upper hiking shoes - Hiking socks - Hiking pants - 1 waterproof overpants (depending on weather conditions) - Short-sleeved & long-sleeved t-shirt (preferably in merino wool) - Polar jacket - <s>Light & compact down jacket</s> (will be provided by FORCLAZ) - Waterproof jacket - Buff type hat or neck warmer. - Fine pair of gloves - A dry first layer “change” (t-shirt, underwear, leggings) for the evening and night - Sunglasses - Bottle or pipette (water bag), 2 liters minimum - Everything you need to eat at a picnic: plate, mug, pocket knife, spoon/fork - Toiletry kit & small personal medicine cabinet (including tick remover, anti-blister bandage, disinfectant, sunscreen)... minimalist! - Headlamp - Trekking backpack, volume 50/60l - Hiking poles - Flip-flops / crocs / sandals for the lodge - Sheet bag for the gîte The conditions : &nbsp; All costs relating to accommodation, transport, meals (excluding extras) will be covered during the test period, namely from departure from Passy (74190) on Wednesday November 22 and until return to Passy on Friday November 24, 2022. The costs of getting to and from Passy remain your responsibility. Your insurance/assistance: A mountain trek involves risks that must be mitigated by being well insured. Check that you are covered for search/rescue costs, repatriation and medical costs.
