Objective :
As part of a doctoral project in collaboration with the movement sciences laboratory of Decathlon SportsLab, the research team of the Industrial and Human Automation, Mechanics and Informatics Laboratory (LAMIH - Valenciennes) is interested in the influence of shoes on locomotion and the development of young athletes. For this, we need to recruit around fifteen children aged between 6 and 10 years old for a 2-hour test. The child and his/her companions will be welcomed into the laboratory by the research engineers.
During these tests, your child will be asked to try on 3 pairs of shoes one after the other. These tests will allow us to determine if different pairs of shoes modify locomotion and the constraints imposed on it. To do this, your child will be equipped with reflective markers (used in films and video games) and will perform several exercises such as sprints, jumps and changes of direction.
