We are organizing a paid test of ultralight carbon poles on July 16 & 17 at Plaine-Joux.
Why this test?
The Simond development team wants to put its new poles to the test in real conditions.
These poles are intended for those who are used to using poles and have a solid experience in hiking and trekking.
Your feedback will help us make the final product more efficient and better suited to your needs!
Profile sought:
We are looking for 18 motivated hikers (9 per session), ready to hike for several hours in the mountains with a backpack weighing 10kg.
Proposed dates and time slots:
1st time slot: Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
2nd time slot: Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Each tester can only participate in one testing session.
The test / Location:
Meet at the Plaine Joux parking lot (Passy) for a hike around the Lac Vert, aiming to complete 3 one-hour walking loops, totaling approximately 15 km and 1000 D+.
You will try three pairs of poles, which will be provided to you. Remember to bring your usual gear (appropriate shoes, backpack, weather-appropriate clothing, water, etc.).
!/\ Important: each tester must bring:
- their backpack loaded with 10kg (any type of weight is acceptable)
- their picnic (a one-hour break is scheduled for eating)
You will be accompanied by a qualified mountain professional, as well as our design team to exchange ideas and gather your feedback throughout the day.
Payment conditions:
This test is paid, and we are going through a temporary employment agency (Arve Intérim) for payment.
The remuneration is €84.56 gross for the day of testing. We offer reimbursement for travel expenses to the meeting point, capped at €12.10.
