At Decathlon, we design all the products necessary for climbing and mountaineering (shoes, climbing shoes, backpacks, clothing, ropes, harnesses, etc.)

It is essential for us to have our products tested by as many people as possible in the field before they are marketed. It is thanks to your feedback that we can claim to make good products.

This project brings together the field tests we can conduct on products currently in development.

Good morning,

In order to develop our future mountaineering boots, Simond needs you.

Profile sought:

We are looking for 18 men (size 43) who are experienced in mountaineering (glacier hiking, rocky ridges, summits, icefalls, etc.). They are capable of hiking for several hours in the mountains and climbing (minimum level 5a).

Program :

Date: We offer several slots for this test:

1st slot: Monday 05/19/2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
2nd slot: Tuesday 05/20/2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
3rd slot: Wednesday 05/21/2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: The meeting will take place at the Thermal Park in Le Fayet (74).

What: The test will consist of trying on three pairs of mountaineering boots in a climbing situation and during a forest hike. The climbing will involve a few routes on the cliff of the Thermal Park (required level: minimum 5a). The hike will represent a total of 2 hours of walking with an elevation gain of approximately 400m.

We will only test the shoes (which we will provide). You must bring your own hiking gear (backpack, water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, mountaineering or hiking-type socks , and poles if you use them). Climbing equipment will be provided by the guide who will be supervising you.

Supervision: You will be accompanied by a high mountain guide from the region, as well as the design team .

Remuneration conditions: This test is not paid!!
