The sustainability mission is back!!
This unmissable annual event for our Simond trekking product development is back this year, still over the same period (May-June), with the same format but on different routes from previous years.
Our AMM (mid-mountain guides) have put together an incredible program to combine product testing and an unforgettable trekking experience.
Here is the game framework:
2 groups of testers (each time 5 men and 5 women) will be formed to go trekking for 15 days over two different periods.
You will be equipped with prototypes that are currently under development almost from head to toe.
Your role: Enjoy the trek & test the products
Desired profile
You are used to mountain treks and you can walk for 5/6 hours per day in all temperatures, with elevation gain (up to 1000 m of elevation gain per day), carrying a 50L/70L backpack loaded with more than 12kg. Excellent physical condition is absolutely necessary. You wear size 43 shoes for men, and 39 for women!
The program:
Two testing sessions are organized with two different groups of testers. You can apply for one or both sessions, but if you're accepted, it will only be for one of the two sessions.
1st session: Assaulting the Southern Alps: From the Mediterranean to the wonders of Mercantour.
Dates : from Monday, May 12, 2025 to Wednesday, May 28, 2025
Departure and arrival point : Mountain Store, 170 Avenue Léman Mont Blanc, 74190 PASSY
Means of transport : Bus, train and ESPECIALLY your two legs!
Accommodation : mainly in tents (bivouac and camping)
Supervision : You will be supervised by 2 mid-mountain guides.
Test locations : 2.5 weeks of trekking in the heart of the Mercantour and Pre-Alps massifs (Vallée des Merveilles, Roya, Vésubie, etc.). Magnificent hikes and bivouacs are on the agenda.
2nd session: Assaulting the Northern Alps: From Lake Annecy to Chamonix
Dates : from Monday, June 2, 2025 to Wednesday, June 18, 2025
Departure and arrival point : Mountain Store, 170 Avenue Léman Mont Blanc, 74190 PASSY
Means of transport : Bus, train and ESPECIALLY your two legs!
Accommodation : mainly in tents (bivouac and camping)
Supervision : You will be supervised by 2 mid-mountain guides.
Test locations : 2.5 weeks of trekking starting from Lake Annecy and crossing the Bauges, Bornes-Aravis, Fiz, Aiguilles Rouges, and Mont Blanc mountain ranges. Magnificent hikes and bivouacs are on the agenda.
Terms and conditions:
All costs relating to accommodation, transport and meals (excluding extras) will be covered during the test period.
Only the costs of getting to and from Passy remain your responsibility.
You'll be testing our entire trekking kit (backpack, clothing, accessories, footwear, and camping gear). We'll provide you with most of the equipment you'll need for this adventure.
Remuneration
This test is not paid.
