Help us recycle our products better

In order to better identify our products to make sorting for recycling more efficient, we are testing RFID within the product

RFID What is it?

The acronym RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification , understand radio-identification. It designates a method used to store and retrieve data remotely using metal tags, “RFID Tags”. These beacons, which can be stuck on or incorporated into products, react to radio waves and transmit information over a distance.

Why use RFID to recycle?

In order to be able to guarantee the appropriate and effective recycling of textile products at the end of their life, it is essential to know the exact nature of the materials that compose them. This knowledge would make it possible to easily group together textiles of the same nature and eliminate non-recyclable textiles.

This composition information can, for any garment, be available by computer coding it in its unique traceability identifier. This identifier must then at the end of the product's life be always accessible and quickly detectable to allow automated industrial sorting.

This test will allow us to know if the system works, if sorting is better controlled and if it is compatible with sports use.
