It's the return of the trekking durability mission!!
This essential annual event for our Simond trekking product development returns this year, still during the same period (May-June), in the same format but on different routes from previous years.
Our AMM (mountain leaders) have put together an incredible program to combine product testing and an unforgettable trekking experience.
Here's the playing field:
2 groups of testers (6 men and 6 women each time) will be formed to go trekking for 15 days over two different periods.
You will be equipped with prototypes currently under development almost from head to toe.
Your role: Enjoy the trek, test our products, and be a co-creator by providing us with regular feedback throughout your adventure šļø
Desired Profile
You are accustomed to mountain treks and can walk for 5-6 hours a day in all temperatures, all weather, with elevation gain (up to 1700 m of positive elevation per day, average 1000 m per day), carrying a 50L/70L backpack loaded with more than 12kg. Excellent physical condition is absolutely necessary. You wear size 43 for men, and size 39 for women!
The program:
2 test sessions are organized with two different groups of testers. You can apply for one or two sessions, but if you are selected, it will only be for one of the two sessions.
šÆ Session 1: Southern Alps
"From the Mediterranean to the Source of the Var: Immersion in the Wild Valleys of the Mercantour Massif"
Dates: from Monday, April 27, 2026 to Wednesday, May 13, 2026
Departure and arrival point: Mountain Store, 170 Avenue LĆ©man Mont Blanc, 74190 PASSY
Means of transport: Bus, train and ESPECIALLY your two legs!
Accommodation: mainly in tents (bivouac and camping)
Supervision : You will be supervised by 2 mountain leaders.
Test locations : 2 and a half weeks of trekking in the heart of the Maritime Alps (VƩsubie Valley, TinƩe Valley, Upper Var Valley). Magnificent hikes and bivouacs on the program
šÆ Session 2: Northern Alps
"The crossing from Lake Annecy to Chamonix via the Aravis balconies"
Dates: from Monday, May 18, 2026 to Wednesday, June 3, 2026
Departure and arrival point: Mountain Store, 170 Avenue LĆ©man Mont Blanc, 74190 PASSY
Means of transport: Bus, train and ESPECIALLY your two legs!
Accommodation: mainly in tents (bivouac and camping)
Supervision : You will be supervised by 2 mountain leaders.
Test locations : 2 and a half weeks of trekking starting from Lake Annecy, crossing the Bornes-Aravis, Fiz, and Val d'Arly massifs. Magnificent hikes and bivouacs with Mont Blanc views on the program.
Terms and conditions:
All costs related to accommodation, transport, and meals (excluding extras) will be covered during the test period.
Only the costs for getting to Passy and returning from it remain your responsibility.
You will be asked to test our entire trekking range (backpack, textiles, accessories, footwear, bivouac equipment). We will provide most of the equipment necessary for this adventure.
Remuneration
This test is not remunerated.
